Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero joins the International Museum Day

The Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero will join International Museum Day, celebrated around the world every 18 May since 1977. The CAHH, which has become a major attraction for both Valencians and visitors to the city, wishes to celebrate with its guests by offering a series of special activities to commemorate this upcoming occasion.

Specifically, the Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero will offer a range of exclusive experiences. The highlight, taking place on Sunday 18 May itself, will be the free afternoon opening. To access the CAHH that Sunday afternoon, visitors will still need to reserve a free ticket through the website. Also noteworthy are the Saturday evening visits starting at 8 pm, during which several small groups will enjoy a guided tour behind closed doors.

In addition, the centre on Calle del Mar does not want to limit the celebration to just that day, and special activities will take place throughout the weekend.

Programme of Activities

On Saturday 17 May, the morning programme will feature two activities designed for families and children (“Mission at the Museum” at 11 am and “You, the Artist” at 12 pm). In the afternoon, from 5 pm onwards, DJ Giorgio Bonetti will perform in the CAHH garden, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors during their tour. To close the day, guided night tours have been scheduled every half hour, starting at 8 pm, with the last tour beginning at 10:30 pm.

On Sunday 18 May, International Museum Day itself, there will be a family activity (“An Ideal Museum” at 12 pm) and, in the afternoon, the special free opening.
