Behind the Curtain

An experience that connects the history of modern art with the places where ideas were born and where painters, writers and intellectuals gathered: cafés, cabarets, clubs and bars that functioned as true cultural laboratories

The concept is structured around the metaphor of the “curtain.” Historically, many bars and clubs used curtains and private areas to create intimate atmospheres and protect conversations. In the museum, this curtain is invisible: each gallery becomes a threshold through which different periods can be experienced.

A 1.5-hour journey through the Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero, guided by chef Germán Carizo, who will lead visitors through the history of cocktail culture through art, from late 19th-century Paris to the present day. An exclusive behind-closed-doors experience.

Allergies and intolerances, as well as any questions related to the menu, must be communicated to Fierro in advance via this email: sala@laoficinabrasas.es
