Music in the Work of Anselm Kiefer

The work of Anselm Kiefer is constructed from multiple layers of meaning in which history, poetry, mythology, and literature converge. Within this framework, music occupies a central place as a source of thought, memory, and emotional structure.

Interpreted by Ensemble Waldstein, the main piece of the program is String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, D. 810, “Death and the Maiden” by Franz Schubert. The painting with the same title can be found in Room 3 of the Hortensia Herrero Art Center (CAHH).

This concert thus proposes a space of encounter between image and sound, where listening becomes a way of seeing and seeing becomes a way of listening.

The ticket includes admission to the CAHH during opening hours on the same day.

Ticket sales are subject to the general terms and conditions available at  cahh.es/condiciones-venta-entradas . Please note that during the activity, images (photographs, videos, etc.) may be taken and used on social media, the website, press releases, etc., to promote the foundation’s activities.
