Contemporary art as future heritage: shared knowledge between Spain and Latin America.
Which works, ideas and practices of the present will become part of the heritage of the future? This talk brings together perspectives from Spain and Latin America to explore the challenges and opportunities involved in the conservation, dissemination and shaping of contemporary artistic heritage.
The speakers are María Wills Londoño, curator, researcher and Director of the Arts and Other Collections Unit at the Banco de la República Museums in Bogotá; Marielsa Castro Vizcarra, Chief Curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín (MAMM); and Jesús Carrillo, Deputy Director-General for Visual Arts and Contemporary Creation at the Spanish Ministry of Culture. The conversation will be moderated by Jorge López director of Jorge López Gallery.
After the talk, we will enjoy a collaboration with Alhambra, who will join us to round off the evening in a relaxed atmosphere of conversation and exchange.
